STRAWBERRY CHIA JAM

TASTE & TEXTURE OF STRAWBERRY PRESERVE. MADE WITH JUST FOUR INGREDIENTS & NO UNREFINED SURGAR

STRAWBERRY JAM

SERVES: 4 portions

INGREDIENTS:

  • One cup frozen or fresh strawberries, hulled & chopped in half

  • Quarter cup filtered water

  • One dessertspoon of honey

  • Squeeze of fresh lemon, about one tsp

  • One tbsp chis seeds

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Place the fresh of frozen strawberries, water, lemon juice and honey into a small saucepan over a medium heat.

  2. Heat for about ten minutes until mixture begins to thicken as the steam escapes, stirring all the time breaking down the strawberry pieces.

  3. Once the  mixture has a jam like consistency, thick & gloopy stir in the chia seeds and once full mixed in leave to cool a little.

  4. Pour the mixture into a sterilised jar. Once completely cooled, store the sealed jar in the refrigerator & use to stir through porridge, chia pudding, coconut yoghurt or even with chocolates brownies...whatever you like. I've even eaten this straight from the jar its that delicious
