STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE PORRIDGE

CREAMY STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE FLAVOURED PORRIDGE. DONT LEAVE OUT THE LEMON ZEST AS THIS REALLY MAKES THIS DISH

STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE

SERVES: 1

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • Half cup organic sprouted oats

  • One & half cups hot water or dairy free milk

  • Two tsps of vanilla extract

  • One tbsp cashew butter

  • Four or five fresh strawberries, sliced or diced

  • Zest of one small lemon

  • Stevia to taste

  • One tbsp maple syrup

  • Coconut flakes - optional

  • Vanilla protein powder - optional

DIRECTIONS:

 

  1. Place oats into small saucepan and pour over the hot water or dairy free milk. Leave to soak for 10-15mins, this will reduce the cooking time.

  2. When ready to cook your oats, place the saucepan over a high heat, add the vanilla extract and stevia drops or alternative sweetener and stir. Place over a high heat until bubbling, stirring continuously then reduce the heat to a simmer, continue to stir until porridge reaches desired consistency. Add extra liquid if required.

  3. Once consistency is achieved, stir through half of the lemon zest  & cashew nut butter. Pour porridge into a bowl. 

  4. Top with fresh strawberries, the remaining zest and drizzle with maple syrup. A sprinkle of coconut flakes if using or
