Those of you who know me, know I love to shop. When I'm not thinking about or making food, I spend a great deal of my free time browsing websites, and searching through Pinterest. I've recently stepped away from high street offerings, choosing instead to spend that little bit more on classic designer pieces. Items I can wear again and again, not just this season. Surprisingly this takes a lot of planning. Ensuring the purchases I make are worth the money and will fit in with items I already have.
Here is a little overview of what I want, bought or plan to buy for Autumn Winter 2017.
Ganni Mohair Open Back Jumper - £330
Ganni is one of my favourite brands right now. The designs are just beautiful, I can see every piece lasting the seasons. Just like this handmade mohair jumper. They have a few designs and two colours. Now all I have to do is decide between the lovely lilac or the sophisticated charcoal grey.
Ganni Fenn Long Wrap Coat - £260
I'm a bit of a coat collector. I love the relaxed fit of this Ganni Fenn coat. I would pair this with a short leather mini, boots and a jumper. Or alternatively with black vinyl trousers and some white sneakers (see below)
Cashmere Dress - Whistles £199
Cashmere is always a good investment and this Whistles dress is no exception, both stylish and versatile. Navy, soft cashmere will look perfect with red ankle boots or over the knee beige Stuart Weitzman boots. I'll wear mine with my Joseph cashmere camel wrap coat for day to night, desk to cocktails perfection.
Le Original cropped high-rise straight-leg jeans - Frame £260
I never thought I would love high waisted trousers or jeans, then I tried them and the rest is history. They are possibly the most flattering fit ever invented. Add to that a wider leg than a skinny jean and you have denim fabulousness. The wash of this pair from Frame is timeless.
Isabel Marant Bryce Trainers - £310
I don't know what it is about these, but I cannot get them our of my mind., therefore I know I have to have them. Worn with skinny cropped jeans, tailored trousers & a blazer or a pleated midi skirt & jumper. I can see these working with everything
Timeless Suit Jacket - The Kooples £295
On my most recent visit to the states, I purchased this suit jacket from Bloomingdales in San Francisco. It really is as the name suggests, timeless. The perfect cut, material and fit. This jacket is a great investment buy. Dressed up or down, everyone should have one in their wardrobe. I'm pleased I do, it transforms a jeans & t-shirt combo into a stylish considered outfit.
Iconic Emily Bag - The Kooples £348
I walk past The Kooples shop on Carnaby Street almost everyday and everyday I see these beautiful Emily bags. I have the Classic Quilted Chanel bag in black and I feel this taupe number would be its much needed companion. Understated lines, lots of internal compartments and a strap to wear cross body or on the shoulder. Just what I need to take me from morning to night or work to weekend brunches.
Black Leather Belt - Gucci £320
I've had my eye on these Gucci belts for months. I've decided since they are still selling out, people must still be buying them and therefore they are not just a passing trend. I feel these belts have become quite iconic so what better way to elevate a standard outfit than with the golden double g embellishment.
All Hours Concealer - YSL £22
I purchased this concealer about a week ago after sampling the foundation (I'll be purchasing that on my next duty free visit!) I'm so impressed with the results. In my opinion it beats the Touche Éclat hands down, Nars, MAC & Bobby Brown, not one of them works as hard as this. It has a very natural finish, it's blenadable and the coverage is full without being cakey.
Huile De Jasmin Oil - Chanel £97
Now the days are becoming colder and harsher on my skin, I'm hoping to smoother it in this Jasmin facial oil from Chanel. It's not just the packaging that I'm sold on but the promise of more luminosity from the first application. I'm of the opinion that less is more when it comes to skincare so this will double as night cream and perhaps a daily moisturiser.
High Street - And because I could never completely shun the high street, I'll be added these to my list too.
Chambray Frill Blouse - Other Stories £59
Feminine frilled Parisian designed shirt. I love this blouse. It looks a lot more expensive than it is due to the frilled shoulders and collar. I would wear this tucked into high waited cropped wide leg denim. Or buttoned low with a black lace triangle bra and a navy blazer for that, I just threw this on look.
Glamorous Bow Shoes - Topshop £49
The most decadent footwear, think satin, delicate velvet and butter soft suede adorned with jewels, crystals and more. A token of happiness on a cold grey morning. I'll choose a classic shape such as these pumps to see me though many years of dinner dates, parties, Christmas entertaining or just paired with cashmere jumpers and vintage denim.
Vinyl Trousers - Topshop £40
I purchased these beauties about a month ago. I'm yet to wear them as it has to be quiet cold due to the overheating factor! I cannot wait to showcase them, dressed down with a chunky sweater.
Autumn Fragrance - White Company from £16
I'm obsessed with The White Companies home fragrance range. I always have one of the room spray's wafting out of my Esteban diffuser. These are an essential in our home, along with scented candles and fresh cut flowers.
