Sometimes you just want chocolate. When you have one of those days why not make this creamy Chocolate Salted Caramel smoothie? A healthy take on a chocolate hit with the added flavour bonus that we all love, Salted Caramel. Perfect to brighten up the most miserable of rainy Spring days.
Two cups of unsweetened almond milk (feel free to sub one cup for one cup of chilled filtered water, it just wont be as rich & creamy)
One cup of ice cubes
Two scoops of chocolate protein powder (if you do not use protein powder, add extra sweetness in the form of ripe frozen banana or maple syrup to balance the salt & give you a creamy mixture)
Two tbsp's raw cacao powder
Two tbsp's of unsalted pecans
Quarter of a ripe avocado
Two pitted medjool dates
Half tbsp vanilla extract
Pinch of pink Himalayan salt (or sea salt)
One sliced & frozen banana
Large handful of frozen spinach
One scoop of unflavoured collagen powder
Place all ingredients into a high powered blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into two glasses and enjoy immediately.
