CHOCOLATE ORANGE SMOOTHIE BOWL

CHOCOLATE ORANGE DELICIOUSNESS

A QUICK & TASTY BREAKFAST OR GUILT FREE DESSERT. PACKED FULL OF ANTIOXIDANTS

SERVES: 2

INGREDIENTS:

  • Two sliced & frozen bananas

  • One large ripe avocado

  • 3/4 cup almond milk or dairy-free milk of choice

  • One heaped tbsp raw cacao powder

  • Half tbsp orange blossom water

  • Two servings of frozen spinach – approx 160g

OPTIONAL:

  • Natural sweeteners such as honey or maple syrup – I find when using ripe frozen bananas I do not need any extra sweeteners

  • Superfood powders – Moringa Leaf, amazing greens etc

  • Ground flax seed or oil

  • Chia seeds

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Place the frozen ingredients into your blender with your dairyfree milk and leave for five minutes to allow them to thaw slightly (it makes it easier on your blender if you don’t have a Vitamix or equivalent)

  2. Blend until the frozen ingredients start to come together. This may take a few minutes and you may need to scrape down the sides of the blend as you go.

  3. Once the frozen ingredients are blended add the avocado and remaining ingredients and blend until you have the consistency of thick ice cream which you could stand a spoon up in!

  4. Place into two bowls and top with your desired toppings.

  5. Eat, enjoy and wonder why you didn’t make this before!
