CHOCOLATE & MACA SMOOTHIE BOWL

A PERUVIAN BOWL OF ENERGISING AZTEC GOLD

MACA & CHOCOLATE TWO SUPERFOODS PACKED WITH ANTIOXIDANTS & ENERGISING QUALITIES

SERVES: 2

INGREDIENTS:

  • One large sliced & frozen banana

  • One half of a ripe avocado

  • One cup of almond milk or dairy-free milk of choice

  • Two servings of frozen spinach – approx 160g

  • Two medjool dates, stones removed

  • Two tbsp maca powder

  • Two tbsp raw cacao powder

  • One tbsp cashew butter

OPTIONAL:

  • Toppings of choice such as Paleo granola, cacao nibs, fresh berries, grapes, nuts & seeds, nut butter, bee pollen, coconut flakes, chia seeds etc

  • Superfood powders – Moringa Leaf, amazing greens etc

  • Ground flax seed or oil

  • Paleo protein powder or collagen powder

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Place the frozen ingredients into your blender with your dairyfree milk and leave for five minutes to allow them to thaw slightly (it makes it easier on your blender if you don’t have a Vitamix or equivalent)

  2. Blend until the frozen ingredients start to come together. This may take a few minutes and you may need to stop and scrape down the sides as you go.

  3. Once the frozen ingredients are blended, add the avocado and remaining ingredients and blend until you have the consistency of thick ice cream which you could stand a spoon up in!

  4. Place into two bowls and top with your desired toppings.

  5. Eat & enjoy!
